Dr. Zhan spent her childhood in China and Japan before settling in Durham, North Carolina, where she completed the rest of her formative years. With a lifelong passion for art and creativity, she was naturally drawn to the precision and aesthetics of plastic surgery. After shadowing an oculoplastic surgeon during medical school, she discovered the perfect blend of artistry and medicine and knew she had found her calling.

Dr. Zhan believes every patient deserves an individualized approach, recognizing that no two procedures are exactly alike. She is committed to achieving results that not only restore function but also enhance natural appearance, placing equal importance on both functional and aesthetic outcomes.

Outside the office, Dr. Zhan enjoys spending time with her husband and their dogs, traveling to explore new destinations and cuisines, tending to her houseplants and vegetable garden, and expressing her creativity through drawing, painting, and other artistic pursuits.
