Background

Madison was born and raised in Hardy, VA, tucked between the Blue Ridge Mountains and Smith Mountain Lake and is excited to come back home and provide care to her hometown community.

Growing up, her father worked as a truck driver for UPS, where regular physical exams were a requirement for maintaining his license. She often accompanied him to these appointments, typically sitting quietly in the corner, unnoticed by most healthcare providers. But visits to the optometrist were different. These doctors included her in the exam, teaching her and letting her participate. That early experience left a lasting impression and fostered a specific interest in eye care early on.

Madison’s philosophy is simple: treat every patient as if they were family. She strives to ensure that each person who walks into her exam lane feels heard, understood, and genuinely cared for.

When she’s not in the office, you’ll likely find her spending time with family and friends, biking local trails, hiking, or enjoying the lake. And during football season, don’t be surprised if she’s passionately cheering for her favorite team—go Birds!
