Patient Portal Log-in

Your Patient Portal account will allow you to securely:

  • Update your personal information (street and email address, phone number and insurance details).
  • Add and update your credit card information.
  • Pay your bill online.
  • Request an appointment.
  • Print New Patient Forms for bringing to your first appointment.

You can also print / fill out our New Patient Forms and bring them to your first appointment. If you would prefer us to mail you a New Patient Packet, which includes New Patient Forms along with an optional Vistar Eye Center Location Map (by request), please contact us at 540-855-5100 today.


Financial Information for New Patients

Vistar Eye Center participates with Medicare, Medicaid, and many health insurance and vision care plans. We also participate in many Medicare and Medicaid replacement plans, and Medicare Private Fee for Service plans. Among the plans we participate with are included: Aetna/Coventry, Anthem, other BCBS plans, Cigna, Humana, Optima, TriCare, United HealthCare, Veterans Administration (VA), Virginia Health Network, Virginia Premier, VSP. We participate in selected Davis Vision and EyeMed plans only – not all plans. There are many other smaller plans which we may accept, or through which you may be able to use out-of-network benefits, but we cannot list every one of these plans. Please be sure to check your insurance plan’s provider directory and your own plan specifications to be sure that Vistar Eye Center and your Vistar doctor are listed, or if not, that you can use out-of-network benefits when you need our services. We strongly recommend that you use your plan’s on-line lookup feature and log in with your subscriber number to assure that you are viewing the most current network and provider directory.

As you know, the design of health insurance and vision care plans varies widely. Plans from the same insurer can have different deductibles, co-payments, limitations, networks and exclusions. While Vistar will attempt to verify your benefits with your insurer on-line as part of the appointment process and when you report an insurance change to us, ultimately you as the patient are responsible for knowing your own insurance policy, and are financially responsible for deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance, and any excluded or otherwise non-covered services that you receive from us. If you have not satisfied your deductible, whether a regular or high deductible plan, please be prepared to pay for services at the time of your visit.

When we order custom made lenses, frames, and contact lenses for you, we are required by the manufacturer to pay for them. Therefore unless your vision care plan specifically requires other arrangements, we require a 50% down payment on glasses and contact lens orders made at our offices.
